RTMC ASTRONOMY CONFERENCE - May 12-16, 2010         YMCA Camp Oakes has been home to the Expo since 1975. The event encompasses all aspects of astronomy from beginning to advanced topics and from telescope making to "armchair" astronomy. Features include video hookups with the telescope at Mt. A number of camp activities are open for families to enjoy. The swimming pool, lake canoes, archery, mountain biking (your own bike), wall climbing, and horseback riding are available as is the Camp observatory for star gazing. Many enthusiasts choose to bring tents, RV's and trailers for their stay. Meals are offered in the dining hall or from the snack shack. At night Bose Hall has white lights for the non-astro-minded who want a place to gather.
