Camp Oakes makes camping the
experience of a lifetime. |
Horseback Riding
Our equestrian facilities provide campers with the opportunity to
experience the thrill of riding on horseback. Riding instructions and a 1 to 3 mile ride is provided. All campers older than 8 have
the chance to spend time with the horses under the guidance of the Camp
Oakes equestrian staff.
Schedule trail rides during your activity periods. Pony rides and hay rides are also available, upon request, for those in your group who are unable to participate in trail rides.

Challenge Courses
Our high and low ropes adventure courses develop teamwork skills, as well offer the
chance for campers to meet, and exceed, their personal challenges--all
of which build confidence and self-esteem.
During Low Ropes, groups participate in a variety of games, team initiatives and low elements that teach teamwork,
communication, trust, and creative thinking. There is no age restriction for low ropes use. High Ropes users must be 12 years or older.
