Celebrating 50 years of service, YMCA Camp Oakes lies 6 miles from Big Bear. Providing an idyllic escape from daily life, Oakes beckons to the naturalist in all of us, providing a beautiful, natural and stimulating environment.

 Our Mission . . . .The YMCA of  Greater Long Beach is an  Association that welcomes  people of all ages, ethnic groups,  and religious affiliations to unite  in a common effort to put Judeo- Christian principles and values  into practice, through programs  that develop healthy spirit, mind,  and body for ourselves, our  families, our children and  community.



GROUP RENTALS
We have full weeks and weekends open this summer for large and small groups.

Traditional activities include, swimming, horseback rides, rope courses, archery and riflery, and an observatory for night time star gazing. Campfires and various sized meeting rooms are also available.

Parents
Many YMCA's will be at Oakes this summer. Register your child at your local YMCA. Check the 2008 Sessions for the branches attending camp this summer and see what works best for your family.

Camp Oakes is owned and operated by the YMCA of Greater Long Beach and is located on 230 acres in the San Bernardino Mountains.


Many groups, including schools, churches, colleges, YMCA's, disabled, and not for profit groups use Camp Oakes all year round.
